Description:
The thermostatic valve must measure the room temperature and compare it with the required temperature in order to correct the heat input from the radiator by changing the valve opening. The room temperature acts on a bulb consisting of a metal bellows containing liquid and saturated steam (art. 107L) or wax (art. 106CN). This mixture is sensitive to the smallest temperature variation.
It causes a deformation of the bellows which modifies the opening of the valve. An increase in temperature causes the bulb to expand and the valve to close. The proportional band Xp defines the thermal jump between the required temperature and the ambient temperature to obtain the complete opening and closing of the valve. The speed of this process depends on the nature of the installation.
The accuracy depends on the hysteresis.
