Functionality:

 

Liquid stripper formulated for the preparation of metals and alloys based on zinc or copper (except aluminium) before soldering with tin :

• Sealing joints in construction, between masonry and joinery and under wooden, metal or PVC supports.
• Watertight joints inside and outside the constructions.
• Treatment of vertical cracks.
• Caulking around windows.
• Finishing joints for walls, partitions and skirting boards.
• Ceiling joints and around shutter boxes.

Implementation:

Preparation:

• The edges of the joint must be sound (if necessary, they must be levelled) and generally free of dust, and degreased for smooth surfaces.

Instructions for use :

• The caulking work must be carried out in accordance with DTU 44.1 / standard NFP85 210-1.
• For joints that are too deep, limit the depth by using a joint base.
• Cut the end of the nozzle to a diameter slightly smaller than that of the joint.
• Apply the sealant with a cartridge gun, taking care to tighten the sealant on the edges of the joint.
• Immediately smooth the sealant with a spatula to obtain a good aesthetic finish of the joint.
• It is recommended not to apply the sealant at temperatures below + 5 °C, nor under the rain.

Consumption :

Depending on the dimensions of the joint and the application, a 310 ml cartridge will allow to realize approximately a joint of length (the length of the joint is expressed in meters) :

Cleaning of equipment :

• The equipment is cleaned with water before the filler dries.

Storage:

• Store at a temperature between +5°C and +30°C.
• At 20°C, the shelf life of the product in its original closed packaging is 18 months.
• Prolonged storage at higher temperatures or in freezing conditions may, in some cases, alter the characteristics of the product. of the product.

Observations:

• After a few minutes at 20 °C, a film forms on the surface of the filler, which protects it from rain (it is advisable to However, it is important to protect the joint from driving rain).
• Do not use for joints in permanent contact with water (e.g. underwater).
• Do not use for horizontal joints at ground level or on flat roofs.
• For joints on steel sheets subject to significant movements or active cracks, we recommend to use the building silicone or polyurethane mastic from our range.
