How do I choose my bulb?
You can base your choice on the base of the bulb to be replaced: is it screw-in or bayonet? If you don't have the bulb you want to replace, you can refer to the table below to make the right choice.
BULB TYPE | ||
BAYONET | SCREW | Other base (spot or capsule bulb) |
B22 to B15 | E10 / E12 / E14 / E27 | G4 / GU5.3 - MR16 / G9 / G10 / G13 / G23 / GU10 / 2G11 |
The higher the lumens, the more light the lamp emitsre.Vous used to check the watts on the packaging of old incandescent lamps, but now it's the lumens that will guide your choice. The amount of light produced is no longer directly proportional to wattage.
Incandescent lamp wattage (in watts) | 15 | 25 | 40 | 60 | 75 | 100 | 150 | 200 |
Indicative luminous flux (lumens) to obtain equivalent light | 130 | 240 | 440 | 750 | 990 | 1420 | 2290 | 3220 |
You can choose a "color temperature", expressed in kelvin (K), which varies from room to room.
The lower the temperature, the warmer the light emitted (
The higher the temperature, the more blue the light (> 5,300 K), creating a dynamic atmosphere (ideal for kitchens and bathrooms).
Atmosphere | Candle | Bulb incandescent | Daylight daylight | Cloudy | Blue sky |
Kelvin | 1 500 K | 2 700 k | 5 000 | 7 000 k | 10 000 k |
